Solar Genesis therapy can be used to safely treat any part of the body with freckles or age spots. The shoulders, chest, arms, and face are the most commonly treated areas because they typically receive the most sun exposure.
Solar Genesis produces visible light that pigmented spots on your skin selectively absorb. Heating the pigmented cells causes the cosmetic effects of Solar Genesis.
Solar Genesis therapy does not require any anesthetic or topical gels prior to treatment.
During Solar Genesis therapy, a hand piece is placed directly against your skin. The hand piece will feel comfortable and cool. You may feel a brief, mild pinching sensation when the pulse of light is administered.
